Accounts Payable and Payroll Specialist

Summary

This role will be responsible for the timely and accurate processing of Accounts Payable, Payroll and Commission Statements. This key accounting operations role will assure that Payables processing meets the defined GAAP expense matching policies and procedures, schedule and process vendor payments on a consistent basis, maintain vendor master and reconcile vendor statements. This position will also process T&E reimbursements, maintain commission ledgers and process 1099’s.  Additionally, this role will coordinate with HR to maintain employee setup in our payroll system, as well as process bi-weekly payrolls and commission payment runs.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, match, code, enter and post all supplier payables and other expenses
  • Reconcile accounts payable vendor statements
  • Process weekly payment runs for AP and T&E reimbursements
  • Prepare payroll runs providing reporting prior to processing for approval
  • Prepare and review GL entries
  • Enter and process any garnishments
  • Maintain W9’s, process 1099’s
  • Reconcile all credit card statements and receipt documentation and coding
  • Maintain confidence and confidentiality of sensitive and privileged personnel information.
  • Respond to Supplier/Vendor inquiries
  • Assist with cash forecasting providing rolling forecasts of cash requirements, and PWP supplier analysis
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes

Requirements

  • 7-10 years relevant experience in Payables and Payroll processing and administration
  • Experience working in a Distribution and/or Professional Services Company
  • System experience such as NetSuite, FinancialForce, Dynamics or other Enterprise Grade Accounting
  • Software; Insperity, ADP, Paychex or similar payroll and HR system
  • Strong verbal and written communications, interpersonal, and customer service skills required
